- A river, about 190 km (120 mi) long, of west-central Wyoming flowing generally southeast as a tributary of the Bighorn River. On the south side of the river is the Wind River Range, a section of the Rocky Mountains in west-central Wyoming rising to 4,207 m (13,804 ft) at Gannett Peak.
